Description
The Russo family have been farming the vineyards of Mount Etna for many years. Today, the estate is run by founder Girolamo Russo’s son Giuseppe, and it was under Giuseppe’s overseeing that that they began to estate-bottle their wines. Giuseppe and his team farm 18 hectares of sea-influenced, high altitude vineyards.
The estate only works with native grapes, they farm organically, and they ferment with native yeasts. ‘A Rina’ is a great introduction to Etna Rosso and to the Russo « house style. » Rustic yet harmonious, this one exudes notes of red fruits galore along with earth, mineral, and spice nuances.
