Savoie, in the French Alps, is best known for its ski slopes, but Jean Vullien and his sons are producing a gorgeous sparkling wine from this pristine, picturesque landscape. Their sparkling wine is made in the classic Champagne method, and the blend here is 30% Chardonnay along with 50% Jacquere and 20% Altesse. Super fresh and packed with lemon, apple, mineral, and light spice notes, it’s a great alternative to Champagne.
